WEEKEND SPORT: Happy Friday, everyone; Dash here; I hope you are all staying safe and dry with this rain. I am not sure what sporting contests may be cancelled this weekend due to the wet weather, but I will let you know what is scheduled at the moment.
AFLW: Bundaberg will host two games in round two, with Brothers Bulldogs playing Bay Power at home while Across the Waves play the Gympie Cats at Frank Coulthard Oval.
The Maryborough Bears play the Hervey Bay Bombers in Maryborough.
FOOTBALL: The Kappa Women’s Super Cup comes to the Wide Bay this weekend with round one fixtures at Martens Oval in Bundaberg. Across the Waves play the Fraser Flames while the United Park Eagles are up against the KSS Jets.
Tinana Football Club holds their Gala Day on Saturday, with games kicking off from 8.30 am until 4 pm.
SOFTBALL: The Hervey Bay/Coral Coast Softball competition begin semi-finals this Saturday with a full day of action in Hervey Bay. Check out their Facebook page for details.
Maryborough Softball also continues their fixtures on Saturday.
CRICKET: The Fraser Coast Senior Cricket competition continues with Bushrangers Gold playing Cavaliers in Hervey Bay this week while Ausrocks will play Cavnish. Bushrangers Blue battle Past Grammars in Maryborough.
TRIATHLON: The Hervey Bay Triathlon Club will host Race 5 in their 21/22 series on Sunday. The race is at Seafront Oval, and the format will be a Sprint Triathlon with approximately 100 athletes. Juniors race from 6.15 am, and Seniors from 7 am.
XTREME COWBOY RACING: The Southern Cross Xtreme Cowboys Racing Club have a club competition at the Maryborough Showgrounds on Saturday with events from 8 am.
MARYBOROUGH BMX: Friday night racing is on tonight (weather permitting), racing from 7 pm.
I want to shout out to the Fraser Coast Cycling Club, which once again made me feel welcome on Sunday.
