WEEKEND SPORTS: It is an exciting time of the year when winter season sports are drawing to a close, but there is still plenty to check out over the weekend.
FOOTBALL: Plenty of FQPL action will be played out over the weekend. Tonight the women take to the field with UPE hosting the KSS Jets; Tinana plays Across the Waves in Maryborough, while Doon Villa and Bingera clash at Villa Park.
On Sunday, the men’s competition starts with the UPE and the KSS Jets, SC Corinthians and the Fraser Flames, while Sunbury hosts Across the Waves and Doon Villa clash with Bingera.
AFL: Bombers travel to Bundaberg to play The Waves while Bay Power hosts Brothers Bulldogs in the final round of the regular season before finals begin next week.
RUGBY LEAGUE: Wests to play Past Brothers to move into the grand final.
Across the Waves will meet East with the loser bowing out.
HOCKEY: The Fraser Coast Hockey Leagues continue tomorrow with games in Maryborough.
In the men’s Magpies play HB Brothers while Granville Tigers and CBR clash.
Granville Rovers and Bolts meet in the women’s competition, with Magpies and UniRoos also set to battle.
