WEEKEND SPORT: What a full weekend of sport we have ahead of us. If you can’t find something to check out this weekend, you are not trying.
BASKETBALL: We have a full weekend of basketball, with the Maryborough Basketball Centre hosting junior semi-finals tonight before the grand finals tomorrow.
Grand Finals begin at 1 pm with the under 12’s and continue into the evening across the grades with the men’s final, the last match beginning at 7.15 pm.
BMX: The Maryborough BMX Club are hosting their annual June Open Day tomorrow, with riders from around the state attending.
The venue opens from 9 am, races from 2 pm, and goes through into the evening.
CYCLING: The Fraser Coast Cycling Club will hold their next race in their Crit Series on Sunday, with riders tackling the Hervey Bay Airport Circuit. The racing is from 7.30 am.
RUGBY LEAGUE: Eskdale Park is the place to be on Saturday if you want to check out local rugby league with junior games beginning from 9 am and going through to seniors, with Wallaroos hosting Hervey Bay Seagulls.
AFL: Junior AFL continues this afternoon and tomorrow morning around the region with the senior competition games all in Bundaberg, with the Bombers playing Brothers and Power up against The Waves.
FOOTBALL: Community football continues tonight and tomorrow with games in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. In the women’s FQPL, the KSS Jets play Doon Villa tonight in Maryborough and the Fraser Flames hot Across the Waves in Hervey Bay. Tomorrow Tinana will travel north to play Bingera.
In the men’s, it is a similar draw tomorrow with Sunbury up against Bingera.
