WEEKEND SPORT: Finals have begun in some sports, with others bringing their regular season to a close. We are spoilt for choice this weekend.
HOCKEY: Round twelve of the Fraser Coast Hockey season gets underway in Hervey Bay tomorrow with men’s and women’s games.
CBR plays HB Brothers in the men’s while Granville Tigers and Magpies clash.
Granville Rovers and Magpies meet, and UniRoos are up against Bolts in the women’s.
AFL: Senior AFL returns with the Bomber and Bay Power facing off in the men’s and the women’s at the Bombers on Saturday while Waves and Brothers Bulldogs meet in Bundaberg.
Junior games also continue.
RUGBY LEAGUE: Roos play Easts at 4.15 pm on Saturday, with Tigers and Wests also meeting, with the winner moving on to play Past Brothers next week.
BMX: The Maryborough BMX Club host Friday night races tonight with action from 7 pm.
CYCLING: The Fraser Coast Cycling Club hosts a Come and Try day on Sunday at the corner of John Duigan Drive and Astro Drive.
Inviting all juniors of all ages – dust off your bikes and have a ride.
Starting time: 7 am. (You must have a helmet to participate)
FOOTBALL: The FQPL continues with men’s and women’s matches.
The KSS Jets play Doon Villa in the men’s competition, while Bingera and Sunbury clash.
SC Corinthians plays UPE, while Across the Waves host the Fraser Flames.
It is similar in the women’s, with Tinana replacing Sunbury against Bingera.
