WEEKEND SPORT: There is plenty of choices to check out around the Fraser Coast and the Wide Bay this weekend.
RUGBY LEAGUE: On Saturday, the QRL Intrust Super Cup returns to the region with the Wynnum Manly Seagulls playing the Sunshine Coast Falcons at Eskdale Park.
On Sunday, the local junior competition continues in Hervey Bay while the NRL returns to Bundaberg when Canterbury plays the Dolphins at Salter Oval.
FOOTBALL: Sunbury (men) and Tinana (women) plays the Fraser Flames in Hervey Bay this week; while Doon Villa has the bye in the women’s competition while the Men host SC Corinthians at Villa Park. Bingera and the KSS Jets clash in Bundaberg, and UPE and Across the Waves face off.
Juniors continue in Hervey Bay and Maryborough on Saturday.
AFL: The AFL Senior competition has a bye-round this weekend.
SPEEDWAY KARTS: Speedway Karts return to Maryborough this Saturday for the season’s first race, with racing from 11 am.
HOCKEY: This week, Fraser Coast League games are again in Maryborough on Saturday, with CBR playing Magpies and Granville up against HB Brothers. In the women’s this week, Bolts play Magpies, and Granville Rovers are up against UniRoos.
NETBALL: Hervey Bay junior netball is on at the Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct, with senior fixtures continuing on Monday night.
WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL: Round 3 of The Bash 3X3 Wheelchair Basketball Game Day is Saturday from 9:30 am at the Maryborough Basketball Stadium.
