WEEKEND SPORT: It is a little bit strange this weekend with some sports on and some having a break.
There is still plenty of choice for you to consider.
AFL: The Hervey Bay Bombers play host to the Eagles this weekend in women’s and seniors football, with the action kicking off at 12.30 pm with the Reserve’s followed by the Women at 2 pm with the Seniors finishing the day at 3.30 pm. The Bay Power club travels to Bundaberg to play the Brothers Bulldogs.
In the juniors, the youngsters take to the field at Keith Dunne Oval this afternoon before the Youth grades continue tomorrow at Brothers Bundaberg and the Hervey Bay Bombers.
FOOTBALL: In FQPL 3 men’s action, the Doon Villa Magpies host Bingera on Saturday night, while the Fraser Flames also host SC Corinthians.
Sunbury travels north to play Across the Waves, while the KSS Jets also play the United Park Eagles in Bundaberg.
Action in the women’s competition begins tonight, with Doon Villa hosting Bingera while the KSS Jets and Tinana travel north tomorrow to play UPE and ATW, respectively.
Junior fixtures continue over the weekend.
RUGBY LEAGUE: Junior fixtures continue over tonight and the weekend while the senior competition breaks for the 47th Battalion Carnival to be played in Toowoomba.
HOCKEY: The local hockey season grinds to a halt this weekend with various senior players away at different tournaments.
BMX: Maryborough BMX continues tonight at Tinana with racing from 7 pm.
