WEEKEND SPORT: Hi guys, Dash here; I hope you have had a great week. It is quieter on the sporting front this weekend, with summer sports finishing and others breaking for the school holidays, but there is still plenty you can check out.
HOCKEY: This week in the Premier League competitions, Magpies and Waves Cities and Raiders Rovers and HB Brothers play in Hervey Bay while CBR and Arrows Athletics clash, and All Blacks face off against the Granville Tigers in the men’s.
In the women’s, Magpies and Waves Cities and Raiders Roves and UniRoos play in Hervey Bay Bolts, while Arrows Athletics and Bolts and All Blacks and Granville Rovers play in Bundaberg.
RUGBY LEAGUE: This week in the Bundaberg Rugby League, the Wallaroos play Brothers in Bundaberg while the Seagulls host the Panthers. The Magpies and Tigers play in Bundaberg.
In the State League competitions, the Wide Bay Bulls and Ipswich Jets meet in the Harvey Norman Under 19 women’s and the Under 18 and 16 boys at Stafford Park.
FOOTBALL: The national competition, the Kappa Women’s Super Cup round four action, continues with the Fraser Flames hosting Clinton at the Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct tomorrow. The kick-off is at 6 pm.
BASKETBALL: The Maryborough and Hervey Bay junior basketball competitions continue this afternoon. Check both Association Facebook pages for game times and details.
