DASH’S WEEKEND SPORTS DIARY

The Hervey Bay RSL supports our community.

WEEKEND SPORTS: Apologies for the late column this week; Brendan has been out covering the Fraser Coast Anglican College 7’s rugby tournament this morning, and I need him to type because my paws are no good on the keyboard.

What a great weekend of sport we have ahead of us this weekend.

CRICKET: The Fraser Coast Senior Cricket competition grand final will be held in Hervey Bay tomorrow between Bushrangers Blue and Cavaliers. The match begins at noon. Good luck to both teams.

FOOTBALL: The junior and senior football competitions continue this weekend, with action beginning tonight. This week in the men’s FQPL, the KSS Jets return to Bundaberg to play ATW, while Doon Villa will also travel up the highway to play UPE.  Sunbury hosts SC Corinthians, while the Fraser Flames and Bingera will play at the precinct. In the women’s, the Fraser Flames host Bingera on Friday night, while KSS Jets and Doon Villa travel to Bundaberg to play ATW and UPE.

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Bundaberg Rugby League senior competition kicks off tomorrow.

The Wide Bay Bulls under 19 girls and 16 and 18 boys get the day underway before the Brothers, and Hervey Bay Seagulls clash in a grand final re-match.  Wallaroos are up against Easts while Waves and Wests round out the A-grade fixtures.
