WEEKEND SPORT: Hi guys, I hope you enjoy the show holiday. Dash here. Once again, local-sport this weekend may be determined not by the players or referees but by the weather.
Hopefully, we can get out and see some sport played.
RUGBY LEAGUE: Wallaroos hopefully have a home game this week (please no rain) against Wests on Saturday before Brothers and the Hervey Bay Seagulls clash on Sunday in Bundaberg. In the final match, Easts play ATW. Junior matches are at Eskdale Park on Sunday.
FOOTBALL: In the men’s premier league competition, the KSS Jets play Granville at the Hervey Bay Sports Complex while Doon Villa host S.C. Corinthians at Villa Park. The Flames play UPE at Martens Oval, and Sunbury faces a challenging game against ATW.
Women’s action kicked off on Thursday night with the Jets playing United Warriors before ATW hostS Sunbury on Friday night. On Saturday, UPE plays the Fraser Flames, and the Diggers host Tinana Junior football is scheduled for Hervey Bay and Maryborough.
AFL: There is only one senior match this weekend when the Bombers host the Bulldogs in a top of the table clash. On Saturday, Junior matches are in Maryborough and at the Bombers.
HOCKEY: This week, Granville plays UniRoos in Maryborough in the women’s competition while Tinana is up against Magpies in Hervey Bay. The men’s Magpies play HB Brothers while CBR and Granville will clash in the final game.
CYCLING: Round two of the BMee Crit Series gets underway on Sunday morning at the Hervey Bay Airport Industrial Estate.
BASKETBALL: Hervey Bay junior basketball continues this afternoon at the Hervey Bay PCYC.
