WEEKEND SPORT: Dash here; I hope everyone has had a wonderful week for the first week of the school holidays. With some sports having a week’s break, there are still plenty of opportunities to get out and check out some of our sportspeople in action.
RUGBY LEAGUE: In round three of the BRL, the Hervey Bay Seagulls travels to Bundaberg to play Easts at Salter Oval, while Wallaroos are scheduled to play Past Brothers on Sunday. In the final match, ATW will battle the West’s Panthers.
AFL: This week, the Brothers Bulldogs play ATW at Brothers while Bay Power host the Hervey Bay Bombers. Maryborough plays Gympie at Gympie in the women’s competition while the Bulldogs and Eagles clash in Bundaberg.
It is a Hervey Bay local derby when Bay Power host the Hervey Bay Bombers.
HOCKEY: In the Fraser Coast competition, Maryborough will host all matches on Saturday with Magpies playing UniRoos and Bolts up against Tinana in the women’s while Granville plays the Magpies and CBR are up against HB Brothers.
SPEEDWAY: Maryborough hosts the Super Sedan Queensland series this Saturday with plenty of action on the track with modified sedans, speed cars, F500 and Street Stocks.
